Classic Mint Julep



4 fresh mint leaves

10 oz crushed ice

1 tsp granulated sugar

2 oz Kentucky bourbon


Rip the mint leaves and place in the bottom of a Collins glass. Add the sugar and a few teaspoons of crushed ice on top, then muddle to break up the mint and release the oils.


Add ice to fill the glass near full and add the bourbon. Stir for 10 seconds then top with more ice and garnish with a sprig of mint.
